| I am not totally surprised where we are after 6 games. Appointing Robbo last season seemed to me the cheaper and wrong option, he had been coaching our attack and it was woeful. I think he was a great player for us, but not ready for this level yet. I think our recruitment was poor to say the least, last minute and rushed. Another enormous frustration is injuries and management of injuries. There is some bad luck, but starting the season with key spine players out is disastrous. I really wonder about how we deal with this disruption, I don't believe Clune was ready to return against Wigan, and genuinely wonder if it's the same injury, even though they are now suggesting it's hamstring. Then team selection, Golding is not a hooker - they need to pass well, run at the right times, tackle and kick, he struggles with at least 2 of these. Flanagan looks a better option, with some pace. Finally, I think it's time already to change the coach.

| I will not write Robinson off as a coach on the basis of what has happened so far. We have been left in an awful, woeful position by Watson and the mismanagement of signings and wages under his reign, we have offloaded Connor, Yates, Masters, Hill and yet still are having problems with the salary cap, just what are we paying certain players?!?!
We are the very opposite of teams like Salford and Wakefield who get great value for money from their signings, we sign average players or players who just don't fit the side for over the odds amounts. the decision so splash mega money on Burgess is just one more example of this total mismanagement of cap spending.
Evalds is the first player who has filled me with some hope. We need to spend the majority of our cap on the spine of the team, not forwards. Out of the last 4 or 5 coaches only Watson had the opportunity to sign whoever who wanted and what a complete mess he has left us in. This goes beyond the coach, to the scouting setup , to the decisions on who to sign and what to pay them, to where to put your resources and what players are needed to complement what you already have. This has been lacking at the club for so so long. We very rarely sign decent overseas players, Murchie is bang average, Lolohea should not have been given a new contract and signing Sutcliffe adds zero to the team he is not good enough to play in any of the positions he covers.
I really feel for poor Adam Swift who is head and shoulders the best player we have and has to play in probably the worst backline i have ever seen at the giants. Andy Kelly has just issued a rallying call, Well Andy, Direct your rugby to realising what the club needs and make sure that EVERY signing is value for money from now on. No more journeymen like Bibby and Sutcliffe, no more bang average overseas players. Your priority should be an attacking Hooker to interchange with Woolford (one who actually has the pace to cause problems when we have the opposition defence compromised) a pacey centre and most of all a quick half back who attacks the line and has good support play to complement Clune who is a very good organisational player (when fit). Use youngsters as reserves not journeymen who gobble up cap space and offload the surplus ASAP. We are in a hole, but i want to see quality signings in the right areas to have any hopes of getting out of it.
