Does anyone know what raffle tickets were that were being sold outside Whistling Wren by 2 ladies in Leigh shirts, still got them, but can't remember what they were for ?

Can somebody reply please, were me and my 5 mates 'robbed' I handed over 3 quid , for 3 strips of tickets.

Did they have Rumanian accents by any chance?

A few matches ago I was sat outside the Wren and a couple of girls were walking round with collection tins for cancer research. One of the lads sat at our table said he thought they were scamming as just before kick off they left in a very expensive car.

Have to say I had no idea wether they were or not but I had contributed to the collection. Next season if I see them again I will ask for authentication.

Frank she had a tatty ID badge with no Photo on it and the box also had no seal. That says scam to me. I watched them as they nearly knocked me over driving up and down the road in between the ground and Morrisons when I went to get some money. The other thing is there was only one of them in the whole area.

I did see something on the "banter" page, about a raffle for a Hilton Park picture. Said the winner was Ann Parry ticket number 176-180. Could this be it?

That's it.....I remember now , they had a 'rolled up' print of Hilton Park. Thanks Miss V, just glad it was a genuine raffle !
