Yeah, it would be good - I think there must be a sponser somewhere, but I can help the feeling we'll end up with an awful sponser again. (Buddies Cup, anyone?)

Rugby League need to draw big sponsors, the information in that PDF is very good and highlights the opportunity a company has to sponsor one of the UK top competitions.

I havent had one or heard anything since Ady left the RFL.

If they are using data collected a while back when I subscribed to the RFL newsletter then maybe I put my job description in? Can't remember if I am honest....but even if I did, the data is 12 months out of date as I have been in NZ for almost a year.

Point is, the type of cash they will be asking commands more than an email.......it would require a team of maybe 4 or 5 RFL bods, including a heavy hitter and at least 1 decent sles person to visit every brand manager in the UK.

I'll have a word with my mate tonight see if he got anything through as we were part of London advocats.

Thats a bit 'creative' in my opinion.

Surely if it was honest it'd 69 SL games live on sky sports, where the challenge cup doesn't exist.

The ground advertising would still be in the background, but I dare say it's cheaper to purchase that match-by-match rather than taking the title sponsorship.

Rugby League should have no trouble getting a Blue Chip sponsor, but no doubt we will end up with some debt management company or a local fish and chips shop.

but with decent email marketing software they will be able to tell who opened the email, who forwarded it to a colleague, who opened it more than once etc etc....they will then be able to tell who is most likely to be interested and a good target for a follow up.
