Personally I hope Arthur stays.He?s only had 1 preseason and the squad has changed a lot.


He?s got us much fitter, playing with far more intensity and generally we have better field
Position than under Rohan Smith. We are also defending better and conceding fewer tries.


The next step is the attack, this is the hardest part. I think it?s hard to get much going in attack with no pace in the spine and we have at best limited and at worst poor options at 7 and 9 at present. 


These are the key areas to improve in the next recruitment  cycle as well as possibly looking at left
Centre and moving Handley to wing.


If Arthur goes back to Aus,I can?t see many appealing candidates. No idea who we could get from Aus. 
If we need to go for a UK based coach, 
Personally , I would give Rowley a miss and go for Tommy Leuluai. 

Interesting interview with Blease on SKY re Arthur's future. Decision to be nade one way or another in July. He seems quietly confident to me. I think BA will stay for another year.

Very interesting, if a little interrupted by adverts. It’s definitely a possibility and we will know soon enough now. Bleasey is a wily character, he’s one or two steps further down the path than he’s letting on…


Also interesting that he’s now turned most of the recruiting attention to the 2027 season and want’s to be ahead of the pack for that. Great news.

Not seen it yet, 2027 season... wow.. that must mean he's pretty much got 2026 lined up already then which is very good news. 


Be a huge shot in the arm if Arthur stays... i'd love him to sign a 2 year deal though, he could lead us to a major trophy in that time, but he needs more time to tweak the squad yet imo.

Blease could go down as one of the most import pieces of recruitment since we brought in JP in years to come. We will look back and say that was a huge huge moment. 

Reports in Oz suggesting both of Arthur's sons will be playing for Newcastle very soon. 

Could be something developing perhaps?

Interesting comments from BA. Missing his two sons, but wife and daughter love it here, he loves the club, and the way the players are applying themselves makes it hard to walk away. Very similar to things he said last season  before commiting to another year. Unless something spectacular opens up back in Oz in the next couple of weeks I think he'll go round again.
